Phone Extension Prefix
The phone extension prefix is the alphanumeric character you use when entering a
phone number extension in the same line as the phone number i.e. (408)555-1212 ext. 123 .

In this case, the software will look for the extension prefix and enter the phone extension into
the appropriate ACT! phone extension field. In addition, extension prefixes such e and ex are
automatically scanned in the Outlook Phone Number
