| Activities Synchronization Options
| · | Add New Outlook Activities to ACT!. When set, any new activities in Outlook and their related contacts are added into ACT! If the contact does exist in ACT!, only the activity is added. Otherwise, both contact and activities are added to ACT!.
| · | Remove ACT! Activities when Deleted in Outlook. When enabled, any activity that has been deleted in Outlook that has a corresponding ACT! activity will be deleted. For example, you sync all the activities between ACT! and Outlook. When in Outlook, you choose that the activity has been done and you delete it. When this option is set, the same activity will be deleted in ACT! when the next synchronization is done. This option is disabled by default.
| · | Remove Outlook Activities when deleted in ACT!. When enabled, once a sync has been done, if an activity is erased in ACT! it is automatically erased (deleted) in Outlook. This option is disabled by default.
| Contact Synchronization Options
| · | Update ACT! Contacts Data From Outlook. When enabled, any changes (field specific changes) to contacts in Outlook will transfer back into ACT!. If disabled, changes in Outlook are not transferred back into ACT!.
| · | Add New Outlook Contacts To ACT!. When enabled, any new contacts that have been added in Outlook are added to ACT!.
| · | Remove ACT! Contacts when removed in Outlook. When enabled, any contacts that are removed in Outlook, are removed from ACT!

| Dominant Database Settings
| This setting instructs ACT-Outlook Synchronizer which database overrides an update when both records have been changed i.e. the ACT! record has been changed and the Outlook record has been changed as well. Hence, ACT-Outlook Synchronizer provides 2 settings:
| 1. | ACT! is Dominant. When set, if both the Outlook and ACT! records have been modified, the ACT! data will overwrite the Outlook data.
| 2. | Outlook is Dominant. When set, if both the Outlook and ACT! records have been modified, the Outlook data will overwrite the ACT! data.
| Note: The dominant database settings are only used when both the ACT! and the Outlook records have been modified. If only 1 record has been modified, the modified record will overwrite the un-modified record.
| Actions in ACT! when Outlook contacts are converted
| This option is activated when new ACT! contacts are created from Outlook. For example, you add a new contact in Outlook and then synchronize the databases. If you want the new contact to have a field set or to belong to a particular group, you set these options.
| This is important if you are using a lookup or a group to look into the ACT! database since it automatically sets the membership of the Outlook to a corresponding ACT! field setting or ACT! Group.
| · | Set Field to a Value. This enables the setting of a field in the ACT! contact.
| To select the field, click on the field selection button and select a field from the displayed fields.
| Enter the value that you want to appear in that field.
| Note: Select a string field that is read/write enabled in ACT!. Number fields will fail when converting.
| · | Set Group Membership to Selected Group. When enabled, the new contact's Group Membership is set to the value that has been selected in the Groups/Lookup. The value used is the Current Selected Group value. If this value is not set and this option is enabled, the sync will abort.
| Force ACT! Groups Table Synchronization
| This feature forces ACT-Outlook Synchronizer to map all the contacts that belong to groups in ACT! to Outlook Categories. It gets executed after the full synchronization is done.
| The reason for this option is because ACT! does not maintain dates when contacts are added or removed from ACT! groups. When a contact is synchronized, all the groups are brought over. However, only when the contact is new or has been modified does this occur. However, if you add a contact to a variety of groups and do not modify the contact itself, the new group data is not brought over to Outlook. Hence, use this option when you want ACT-Outlook Synchronizer to bring over all the ACT! Group Membership to Outlook
| Move ACT! Groups->Categories Button
| This button forces the ACT! Groups table to be copied to the Outlook Categories. Use this only if you have made changes in the ACT! groups membership and you want the membership to be reflected in the Outlook categories section.
| This option WILL overwrite the Outlook categories field with the ACT! Group membership. So if you have made changes to the Outlook Categories membership and want those changes to reflect in ACT!, you must synchronize and not use this option.
| Use this option only if you have made changes to the ACT! groups membership table and want those changes to be reflected in Outlook (without synchronizing the whole contact database).
