Synchronize ACT! History/Notes with Outlook Body Text
This check mark enables/disables the synchronization of ACT! history records with the Outlook body text

Maximum Number of History/Notes to Convert

This establishes the number of History records you want to convert to the Contact body text in Outlook. The maximum allowed is 500. The default is 100 history items.

Activity List
You can add and remove Notes/History activities by type so that they do not get transferred into Outlook.

Do Not Sync Empty ACT! History Records

This flag indicates to ACT-Outlook Synchronizer to ignore any ACT! History records with an empty details field. ACT! databases have many history entries that are a plain empty field. This flag prevents this empty field from being entered into the Outlook Contact body text.

How Note/History are Transferred
Basically, ACT-Outlook Synchronizer scans the notes/history for each contact in ACT! and merges them in the following manner:

Date
-------------------------------------------------
Note/History Type - The History Entry.
If attachment is connected to entry, the path to the attachment is added.

For example, below is a list of note/history that have been exported to Outlook:

Note the "(:::)" indicator in the Outlook note. Do not delete the (:::) indicator! This indicates the beginning of the history that has been transferred from ACT! to the Outlook Body Text. Any additions and/or changes to the data in Outlook must be done above the indicator. When ACT-Outlook Synchronizer performs the synchronization, it will scan the body text and any text above the indicator is transferred to ACT! as a new history record. Hence, full synchronization of all the data.

Performance Issues
Synchronization of the history is a very compute intensive process. To speed up the synchronization, do the following:
·Set the date filter to be as close to the current date as possible.
·Clean up the Notes/History in ACT! so that it is not packed with data that slows down synchronization
