Error With File System Object
Top  Previous  Next

This error happens when the File System Object library has been unregistered. The error message is something like:
Error: The File System Object file (scrrun.dll) is not registered on your system.
Please register this file first and then run ACT-To-Outlook Synchronizer again and you will not receive this Error.
   or
Error on Form Load .....

This error is caused when the software tries to access the local files on the drive and fails to do so. When this happens, it is because the file scrrun.dll is not registered on your system. This is a system file and our software does not register this file when installing. By default, this file should be registered on your system, but many installation packages (including Windows) seem to unregister this file and never again re-register it. Hence, you must register the file manually. Follow the instructions below:

1- Go to the Windows installation folder using Windows Explorer and Open on the system32 folder.

2- In the system32 folder, find the file scrrun.dll

4- When you click on the choose program, you'll get a list like below. On some systems, the list is different and instead of the Other... button, you get a Browse button. The whole point is to be able to choose which file to use to open scrrun.dll.
